Take A Pause with Mindful Moments (Mandarin Session Special Topic)

Mindful Moments is hosting a monthly practice session open to all who are interested in practicing mindfulness in a group, whether or not you have any experience in mindfulness.

ach session will be led by Erin or a guest mindfulness practitioner / teacher, and will focus on different mindfulness practices or themes. Each practice session will last 30 - 45 minutes, after which you may wish to have a chat with Erin or tthe guest facilitator about mindfulness or mingle with one another.

拜伦凯蒂在她30多岁的时候患上严重的忧郁症。超过10多年的时间,她的忧郁状况越来越严重,最后的两年,几乎无法离开她的卧室。直到有一天,从深沉的绝望中,她突然经验到一个改变生命的领悟—这就是“转念作业”的由来。

转念作业是一套自我审视想法的方法,这想法也是造成这世界很多痛苦的原因。 它可以迅速地让你找到内心平静的工具。只要你愿意打开你的心诚实的面对自己,任何人都可以做的到。

拜伦凯蒂发展的这套简单又很有力量的自我审查的方法, 称为转念作业,可以让人立即轻松自在。她的思想洞见与认知神经科学领域研究一致,可以和哲学家苏格拉底的对话,佛教的教导,及十二个步骤康复计划有异曲同工之妙。但凯蒂在没有任何宗教信仰或心理学知识的情况下开发了她的方法。 她重点希望让大家能认真思考与觉察“没有你的故事,你会是谁?”

Byron Katie had suffered severely depressed while in her thirties. Over a ten-year period her depression deepened, and for the last two years Katie (as she is called) was seldom able to leave her bedroom. Then one morning, from the depths of despair, she experienced a life-changing realization---that is “the work” comes from.

“The Work “ is a way to identify and question the thoughts that cause all the suffering in the world. It is a tool to find peace with yourself and with the world. Anyone with an open mind can do this Work.

Katie developed this simple yet powerful method of inquiry, called The Work, that showed people how to free themselves. Her insight into the mind is consistent with leading-edge research in cognitive neuroscience, and The Work has been compared to the Socratic dialogue, Buddhist teachings, and twelve step programs. But Katie developed her method without any knowledge of religion or psychology. She hopes to have people reflect more deeply on who we would be without our story.

Outline of the Workshop:
Mindfulness practice - who is the master of your emotion ?
Who would you be without your story ?
Practice “the work” - I need the recognition and appreciation of others. Is it true?
